Due to our continuing development as part of the Nibe group we are now looking for a new member to join our production team at our small manufacturing facility in Sandhurst.

 

Braude specialise in manufacturing heating equipment for industrial processes using polymer materials. We have been established for over 60 years and maintain an organised but friendly working environment.

 

 

Manufacturing Technician

 

Based at: Liberta House, Scotland Hill, Sandhurst, Berkshire

 

Reporting to: Line Manager

 

Job Purpose Summary

For mechanical assembly and testing of electrical equipment on a manual production line, to ISO 9001 quality approved standards.

 

The person

We are looking for a hard working individual who expects to be rewarded for their efforts.  They should be a flexible team player who is capable of working on their own initiative.  Ideally they should have experience of a manufacturing environment and be a good communicator.

 

Key Responsibilities

Assembly of electrical immersion heaters from stock components:

Winding elements using our specialist cable
Terminating and electrical testing of connections
Final assembly and inspection of heaters


Assembly of controllers sensors and probes from stock components:
Assembly of guide tubes
Insertion of temperature and level sensors to probes or built into heaters
Electrical testing and calibration


Complete documentation where necessary following Quality procedure guidelines.
Packing ready for despatch.
Maintain clean and safe working environment.
Assistance to goods received and despatch.
Some manufacture of components and parts using basic hand tools and workshop machinery including pillar drill, bandsaw and lathe.
Other activities as required by management.

 

Suitable candidates will be considered for a supervisor role responsible for:

Allocation of works orders to manufacturing operatives.
Check works orders for completeness and ensure the operatives have enough information to manufacture e.g. photos, drawings, manufacturing instructions etc.
Resolve operative questions and issues.
Carry out final inspection of completed works orders and ensure documentation is fully signed off in accordance with the manufacturing manual and procedures.

 

Hours of work

8.00 – 4.30 Monday – Thursday

8.00 – 4.00 Friday

Lunch – 12.30 – 1.00pm

Tea or coffee from the company canteen is available at 10a.m.  And 3p.m for a 10 minute break. Overtime will be available from time to time.

 

Wages and salaries

All salaries and wages are paid monthly.

Holiday entitlement

25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays.
